I do believe they were trying to come up with something similar for our CFO for a day last year. He couldn't make over $14,500 or $15,000/year unless they gave him a new title, one outside of Civil Service.

$85,000 a year in retirement pension benefits for one person, not including the salary of the new job!How many legitimate public employees retirement benefits would it take to equal this amount? Yet, it is the rank and file public employees that the gov is blaming for the budget crisis. Seems to me that patronage positions and lucrative closed door wheeling and dealing should be included when the gov casts stones of burden at the tax payers.
